RISE final workshop

12 September

Ca' Foscari University of Venice
Scientific Campus - Aula Orio Zanetto

Workshop

We welcome collaborators and anybody interested in the RISE project for a day of discussion and rethinking. Confirmed partecipants are (among others): the RISE team (Isadora Antoniano-Villalobos, Antonio Canale, Dáire Healy, Paolo Onorati, Ilaria Prosdocimi), Paola Bortot, Stuart Coles, Miguel de Carvalho, Carlo Gaetan, Francesco Marra, Stefano Rizzelli.
The RISE project aims to rethink the current approaches for extreme value analysis, inspired by the distance between the mathematical assumptions underlying classical extreme value theory and the behavior of real-world processes. These extensions rely on combining modern statistical alternatives to classical extreme value theory. We invite all scientists interested in modern approaches of modeling of extremes, in particular with applications in environmental applications.

The workshop will take place in the Via Torino campus of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Participation to the event is free and it includes lunch and refreshments. For practical reasons we can only accomodate a limited amount of participants. We ask you to register your interest to attend the workshop using this registration form. The program for the day is provided below and here. Abstracts for all talks and posters are available here.
